WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Ten Novant Health facilities have been recognized for safety and quality by The Leapfrog Group, a national, industry-leading nonprofit that evaluates the safety and patient experience provided by hospitals across the country. The Leapfrog Group recognized five Novant Health hospitals with 2024 Top Hospital Awards and five ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) with 2024 Top Ambulatory Surgery Center Awards - the only ASCs recognized in North Carolina.
The Leapfrog Group’s Top Hospital Award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive awards U.S. hospitals can receive. Only 134 hospitals in the country received the Top Hospital Award and only 31 ASCs received the Top Ambulatory Surgery Center Award. In November, The Leapfrog Group awarded Novant Health the most “As” for patient safety in North Carolina the most “As” for patient safety in North Carolina for its Fall 2024 scoring period.
