WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health has once again received numerous Get with the Guidelines quality achievement awards from the American Heart Association for improving patient outcomes for cardiovascular and stroke care.

These awards recognize facilities for their implementation of quality improvement measures that ensure stroke and cardiovascular patients receive efficient and coordinated care according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines. Research shows that hospitals adhering to clinical measures through Get with the Guidelines see more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer returns to the hospital.
Novant Health has seven stroke centers – three comprehensive and four primary – that are staffed 24/7 by an acute stroke team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons and nurses.
