WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Dr. Kevin Shah, a neurosurgeon with a passion for clinical research, has joined Novant Health Brain & Spine Surgery - Kimel Park in Winston-Salem.
“Dr. Shah is a tremendous addition to our team and this community,” said Jessica Hicks, director of the Novant Health Neurosciences Institute in the Triad region. “He is a highly skilled neurosurgeon, and he brings the latest in advanced treatment options to our patients.”
Shah specializes in treating a wide range of neurosurgical and endovascular conditions, including benign and cancerous brain tumors, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, intracranial hypertension and stroke. He will also lead clinical research, expanding access to clinical trial opportunities for patients close to home. Shah has participated in more than 50 clinical studies in his career.
Shah earned his medical degree at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He also completed a residency in neurological surgery and a fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University.
“My goal is to restore hope for patients,” said Shah. “Whether it’s helping someone face a new cancer diagnosis or recover from a stroke, I’m committed to meeting patients and their loved ones where they are and helping them reach their goals.”
