Healthgrades names Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center as one of "America’s 50 Best" for outpatient orthopedic surgery and joint replacement

Healthgrades named Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Joint Replacement and one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center also earned “Five-Star" ratings for outpatient total hip replacement, outpatient total knee replacement and outpatient back and neck surgery. Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center earned “Five-Star” recognition for total knee replacement.

Novant Health has made a significant investment in bringing the latest in robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery to patients in southeastern North Carolina. Robotic surgery is offered at Novant Health New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. These robots are specifically designed to assist with knee and hip replacement surgery.

Nearly 10,000 orthopedic surgeries are performed each year in Novant Health’s coastal region. Of those, more than 2,000 are joint-related procedures.

Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has recruited two orthopedic surgeons to the area within the last year. The clinic is accepting new patients and has locations in Leland and Supply. Services include sports medicine, hip and knee replacements, hip and knee revisions, and hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery.
