WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health recently made access to acute (sudden injury) and chronic pain management services more accessible for patients in and around Stokesdale, North Carolina. The new clinic, Novant Health Pain Management Stokesdale, is located at 7779 NC Highway 68, Suite 2A, just down the road from Stokesdale Town Park. The clinic will treat a wide variety of patients, including those with joint discomfort in the neck, back, hip and knee.
“Aging doesn’t have to be a painful experience,” said Dr. David O’Toole, a Novant Health pain management specialist who sees patients in Stokesdale and Kernersville. “We know that one in four Americans will experience chronic pain at some point during their lives. If left untreated, chronic pain can and often does get worse. In many cases, it forces our patients to sit on the sidelines and miss out on important life events. Our goal is to meet these patients where they are, and to help them get back to the careers, hobbies and family activities that they enjoy.”
The clinic specializes in working with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include physical therapy, medication, pain management injections and/or a minimally invasive procedure.
