CLEMMONS, N.C. – Dr. Thomas Kellam, a sports medicine specialist, and Dr. Daniel Pierce, an orthopedic surgeon, have joined Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Clemmons, expanding access to expert orthopedic care in the region.

Kellam earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and his fellowship at the University of South Carolina at Prisma Health. Kellam is board-certified in both family medicine and sports medicine. He specializes in nonsurgical treatment options to help patients manage pain and restore function. Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan that may include physical therapy, medication and steroid injections. Kellam sees patients in Clemmons and Winston-Salem.
Pierce, who previously practiced in Davidson County, earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and an adult reconstruction fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery including complex joint reconstruction and revision procedures.
