BOLIVIA, N.C., March 11, 2024 – To help new mothers and their babies, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is joining several local nonprofits to host a free community baby shower on Saturday, May 4. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the parking lot at 240 Hospital Drive. Novant Health will distribute clothing, diapers, toys, toiletries and more to mothers in need, and will provide information on breastfeeding and car seat safety checks.
“This is one of our favorite events because it offers a meaningful way to support moms, children and families,” said Heather King, president of Brunswick Medical Center. “It’s so important to be able to provide for the families in our community, especially as we see increased numbers of newborns each year as the county grows.”
Around 650 babies were born last year at Brunswick Medical Center.
