Novant Health expands access to adult primary care services with new clinic near Davidson County

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Today, Novant Health enhanced access to care for patients by opening a new primary care practice location in the south ward of Winston-Salem, close to Davidson County. The clinic, Novant Health Adult Primary Care Peters Creek, is in the same shopping center as Novant Health Friedberg Family Medicine, next to Peters Creek Parkway, also known as Highway 150. The care team at this new adult-care location will see patients Monday through Friday and provide same-day appointments for sick patients.

This clinic, along with Novant Health Friedberg Family Medicine and Novant Health Arcadia Family Medicine, are well positioned to provide convenient and high-quality care for patients in and around north Davidson County.”

The care team at Novant Health Adult Primary Care Peters Creek sees patients 18 and older and provides preventive care services, senior care, chronic disease management and same-day sick visits. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 5038 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.   • Dr. Kevin Burns is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Burns earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina and completed his residency training at the Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center. Burns has practiced in Winston-Salem for more than 23 years and is passionate about providing whole-person care. When not at work Burns enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports and other outdoor activities.  
  • Wendy Elliott is a certified family nurse practitioner. Elliott completed her health education at the University of South Carolina and has practiced in the community for several years. Outside of medicine, Elliott enjoys spending time with her family, participating in sports and traveling.
