Novant Health expands access to colorectal specialty care in Kernersville

KERNERSVILLE – Novant Health has expanded access to its nationally recognized colon and rectal services by opening a new specialty clinic in Kernersville. The clinic will provide comprehensive care and allow patients to conveniently schedule everything from routine colonoscopy screenings to advanced robotic-assisted surgery.

Novant Health Colon & Rectal Clinic, which previously operated two days a week in Greensboro, has relocated to 1471 Jag Branch Boulevard in Kernersville, suite 105, off the Union Cross exit. The outpatient clinic was moved to expand accessibility for patients and now offers appointments Monday through Friday.

“Colon cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the United States,” said Dr. David Hiller, colorectal surgeon and medical director of Novant Health’s nationally accredited rectal cancer program. “This statistic is especially heartbreaking because colon cancer is one of the most treatable cancer types if we’re able to detect it early. Our goal with this new clinic is to create a healthier future for our patients by improving access to advanced diagnostic and treatment services right here in our community.”

Novant Health Colon & Rectal Clinic - Kernersville is well-equipped to diagnose, manage and treat disorders related to the colon, such as colon, rectal and anal cancer, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, hemorrhoids and other anorectal conditions. The team of specialists works with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include a variety of medical treatment options or minimally invasive surgery.

Patients can schedule an appointment by calling Novant Health Colon & Rectal Clinic - Kernersville at 336-277-4075 or learn more by visiting NovantHealth.org/ColonRectalKernersville.
