WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is enhancing access to specialized heart care for infants, children and young adults with the addition of two new pediatric cardiology clinics in the Triad.
Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology in King recently opened at 167 Moore Road in Stokes County. A second location, Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology in Union Cross, located at 1471 Jag Branch Boulevard in Kernersville, is scheduled to open in April.
Both clinics will be staffed by Dr. Catherine Sechrist, a double board-certified pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist with more than 15 years of experience caring for patients in the region.
“We’re focused on delivering expert, subspecialty care to our youngest patients,” said Davida Henderson, director of the Novant Health Women’s & Children’s Institute in the Triad Region. “Whether it’s an expectant mother referred for a cardiology consult or a teenager experiencing an irregular heart rhythm, our team is committed to providing high-quality care for each patient and peace of mind for the entire family.”
Novant Health Pediatric Cardiology provides care for a range of routine to complex cardiac conditions, including high blood pressure, heart murmurs, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies and acquired heart diseases. Services may include on-site diagnostic testing, medication and lifestyle management, or a referral for a minimally invasive procedure.
Patients can access pediatric cardiology care at multiple locations across the Triad. A physician referral is required to schedule an appointment.
