ASHEBORO, N.C. – Novant Health is bringing more specialty care clinicians to Randolph County with the opening of Novant Health Pain Management in Asheboro. Located at 610 N. Fayetteville St., the clinic is part of a broader effort to improve access to high-quality specialty care in rural communities surrounding the Triad.
In October, the new pain management clinic will be joined at the same location by Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Asheboro, offering patients convenient access to two specialties under one roof. Both clinics will provide same-day appointments for patients with acute pain or injuries.
“Patients shouldn’t have to travel far to receive exceptional care,” said Jessica Hicks, director of the Novant Health Neurosciences Institute in the Triad. “Delivering remarkable care means meeting patients where they are. These new clinics are thoughtfully designed to bring expert, comprehensive care closer to home.”
This follows Novant Health and Randolph Health’s recent partnership to expand access to cardiology services in Asheboro. The partnership officially kicked off earlier this year with the addition of Randolph Health Heart & Vascular Institute, powered by Novant Health. This collaborative, outpatient healthcare facility laid the groundwork to install a cardiac catheterization lab at Randolph Health earlier this month. The lab, which is staffed by Novant Health physicians, has brought brand-new diagnostic and interventional heart procedures to Asheboro and the surrounding community.
Two specialties, one convenient location
Novant Health Pain Management in Asheboro opened Aug. 20 and provides comprehensive care for acute spinal injuries and chronic pain. Expanding access in Wilkes County
In the coming months, Novant Health will bring the same two-in-one specialty care clinic model to Wilkesboro, with the opening of new pain management and orthopedics and sports medicine clinics on West Park Drive in North Wilkesboro.
“Pain, whether it’s from an unexpected injury or chronic condition, can be completely debilitating,” said Thomas Caldwell, director of the Novant Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute in the Triad region. “In many cases, patients miss work and opt out of important life events due to a loss of mobility.
