Novant Health expands cancer offerings

Charlotte, NC, Jan. 27, 2016 – Charlotte-area patients now have more access to the most advance cancer care in the region with the recent opening of Novant Health Cancer Specialists Charlotte. This new hematology-oncology practice, located at 1718 E. Fourth St., provides state-of-the-art treatments for both common and complex cancers and blood disorders.

Cancer Specialists Charlotte is dedicated to the care of adult patients with blood disorders and cancer diagnoses including breast cancer, lung cancer, leukemia and lymphoma, multiple myeloma, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. Board certified oncologists Jennifer Dallas, MD, Ayla Kessler, MD, and Nasfat Shehadeh, MD, ensure that their patients are connected with the right resources to help them in their cancer journey, including access to the latest cancer treatments and clinical trials.

As a fully integrated clinic within the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center cancer program, patients benefit from access to advanced diagnostic testing, multidisciplinary cancer care clinics, an infusion suite, and survivorship and rehabilitation care. Additionally, Cancer Specialists Charlotte offers patients’ access to MyChart, an online portal that allows patients to view medical records, email their doctors and schedule appointments online.

This new cancer clinic joins Novant Health Cancer Specialists Matthews, which opened last December when Matthews Hematology Oncology Associates joined Novant Health. Oncologists Nusrat Chaudhary, MD, Adam Kuykendal, MD, Lance Lassiter, MD, and Alfred Newman, MD, serve this office located at 1700 Matthews Township Parkway.
