WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health today announced its continued recognition for safety and quality from The Leapfrog Group, a national, industry-leading nonprofit that evaluates the safety and patient experience provided by hospitals across the country. The Leapfrog Group has recognized six Novant Health hospitals with 2023 Top Hospital Awards and three ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) with 2023 Top Ambulatory Surgery Center Awards. In November, The Leapfrog Group recognized Novant Health with the most “As” for patient safety in North Carolina for its Fall 2023 scoring period.
According to The Leapfrog Group, its Top Hospital Award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive awards American hospitals can receive. Only 132 hospitals in the country received the Top Hospital Award and only 27 ASCs received the Top Ambulatory Surgery Center Award, including three Novant Health ASCs – the only three in North Carolina.
