Novant Health Matthews Medical Center is celebrating the holidays by hosting an indoor tree-lighting ceremony and holiday celebration in its lobby for the community, staff and physicians from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21. The lobby will be filled with beautifully decorated and uniquely designed holiday trees displayed by community and civic groups, nonprofit organizations, churches, businesses and individuals. In addition, various groups have donated fully decorated trees for the Lighting of the Trees event silent auction. Proceeds from purchased trees will benefit the Novant Health Foundation Presbyterian Medical Center in supporting hospital and community projects.
Event festivities will include live musical performances, a visit from Santa, refreshments and more. The trees will be displayed in the hospital lobby for the Festival of Trees from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Nov. 18 through Dec. 27.
The Lighting of the Trees will take place at Matthews Medical Center, 1500 Matthews Township Parkway, Matthews, N.C. 28105. This event is free and open to the public.
