Novant Health names chief growth officer to advance affordable access to care

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – As Novant Health continues to strengthen its leadership structure to better advance enterprise strategy, the health system has named Richard (Rick) Divers as senior vice president and chief growth officer, effective April 13, 2026.

In this role, Divers will lead enterprise growth priorities at a time of continued population growth and rising demand for affordable, accessible care. His work will focus on identifying and executing strategic opportunities that strengthen care delivery, expand access and support long‑term sustainability. His scope includes evaluating and advancing organic growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities that complement Novant Health’s work to create a healthier future.

Divers brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare strategy, corporate development and complex transactions across nonprofit health systems, physician practices and ambulatory platforms.

Most recently, he served as a managing director with EY‑Parthenon, where he advised health systems and healthcare organizations on growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, integration planning and value creation. His background includes executive leadership roles overseeing corporate development, joint ventures and de novo growth initiatives, with deep expertise in physician alignment, ambulatory services and enterprise transformation. Divers holds a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University.
