WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health has named David Haufler senior vice president and chief integration officer, effective today. Haufler brings more than two decades of leadership experience in merger and acquisition processes, integration strategy and execution, and value creation for global organizations.
In his new role, Haufler will spearhead a multidisciplinary integration team, working collaboratively with department leaders across the organization to ensure effective integration and coordination of all processes and systems for newly acquired entities.
“David’s expertise will be invaluable as he builds upon and elevates our comprehensive integration strategy aligned with Novant Health’s long-term goals,” said Sanjay Gupta, Novant Health executive vice president and chief transformation officer. “His strong track record of managing smooth and large-scale integrations for a variety of industries makes him an essential addition to the Novant Health team as we continue to extend our remarkable care to more communities across the Southeast.”
Haufler joins Novant Health from Protiviti, a management consulting firm that works with clients across many industries, including healthcare. As managing director and global transaction advisory services practice leader, Haufler oversaw and facilitated C-suite and board-level review of transaction deals and value creation plans in many operating divisions for Fortune 500 clients. He has also held integration leadership roles at Capital One and AstraZeneca.
Haufler earned an undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Xavier University and an MBA from Penn State University with a concentration in entrepreneurship and finance. He is also a graduate of the Wharton School’s Executive Development Program.
