WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Further strengthening Novant Health’s operations in the Triad area, the system has appointed Chris Bowe as senior vice president for Novant Health and president of the Novant Health Triad Region, effective Oct. 20.
In this role, Bowe is responsible for delivering a seamless, patient-centered experience across acute care, ambulatory services, nursing, clinical services and corporate functions. He also will lead strategic initiatives designed to drive access and innovation while building partnerships with physicians and community leaders.

Bowe has nearly 30 years of diverse healthcare experience, including most recently as president of Advocate Health’s Charlotte market where he was responsible for operations and community outreach. He also served in various leadership roles with the health system over the past eight years. Previously, he held leadership roles with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, Texas; KentuckyOne Health/Saint Joseph Health System in Louisville, Kentucky, and University of Kentucky HealthCare. He began his career in healthcare as a physical therapist working with patients across the entire care continuum. Bowe later founded and operated a rehabilitation services company with operations in central Kentucky and eastern Tennessee.
He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Arizona Global Campus, a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor’s degree in business administration-finance from the University of Kentucky.
