Novant Health opens 11 clinics and adds 28 physicians in the second quarter in the greater Charlotte market

Novant Health today announced its physician and clinic growth for the second quarter of 2019 in the greater Charlotte market. Within the three-month time period, the health care system opened 11 clinics and added 28 physicians, bringing the total number of physicians in the greater Charlotte Market to 888.

“Providing our patients with expert primary and specialty care is a top priority at Novant Health,” said Saad Ehtisham, president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. “That is why we continue to invest in bringing care to our communities, adding physicians and growing locations, to serve patients where they need us."

The new clinics include seven startups, five of which were newly constructed, and four satellite locations. The services of the clinics range from specialties like pediatric neurology to brain and spine surgery. The new clinics are:

In the first quarter of 2019, the greater Charlotte market saw an addition of 12 clinics and 15 physicians. In 2018, the greater Charlotte market saw an addition of 47 startup clinics, 16 satellite locations and three affiliations.
