MONROE, N.C. – We are pleased to announce the opening of Novant Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Monroe. The practice is conveniently located within Novant Health Monroe Medical Plaza at 2000 Wellness Blvd., Suite 100, and is staffed by Dr. Larry Martin Jr.
Martin, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, provides service at this location as well as the current Mint Hill location. Martin will see patients in the Monroe office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. He will see patients at the Mint Hill clinic Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Martin received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. While there, he worked with collegiate and professional athletes, serving as a team physician for the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Bengals. Before joining Novant Health in June, Martin practiced as an orthopedic and sports medicine physician and orthopedic surgeon with Carolinas HealthCare System.
