WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health has once again been recognized by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) for digital excellence, scoring a 9 out of 10 in both the Acute and Ambulatory categories of the 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey.
“Digital transformation in healthcare is accelerating rapidly, and Novant Health is committed to using leading-edge technologies to advance high-quality care and improve the patient experience,” said Onyeka Nchege, executive vice president and chief digital and information officer, Novant Health. “Our high scores in both the acute and ambulatory categories demonstrate that this work is embedded across our organization – from remote patient monitoring and virtual care offerings to real-time dashboards that inform our safety and quality initiatives. I’m proud of our teams’ commitment to innovation as we work to create a healthier future for our patients and communities.”
Among the almost 48,000 facilities represented, Novant Health ranked above peers in critical areas such as analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement. The survey evaluates the adoption, integration, and impact of technologies across healthcare organizations, from early-stage adopters to industry leaders.
In the face of escalating challenges like increasing cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, staffing shortages and budget constraints, the urgency for revolutionizing healthcare through technology continues to grow. The next 30 years will bring profound changes, driven by emerging technologies. Advancements in digital health — facilitated by fully interoperable data, artificial intelligence and secure platforms — are expected to significantly transform the landscape of care. A strategic roadmap is essential to navigate these changes.
“We have designed the Digital Health Most Wired program to provide insights into best practices, health information technology adoption patterns, and digital health market trends,” said CHIME President and CEO Russ Branzell. “The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serve as a comprehensive ‘digital health checkup’ for healthcare organizations globally.”
