Novant Health Rowan Medical Center receives $900,000 grant from the Kiser Fund

 SALISBURY, N.C.,  –The Kiser Fund has given over $900,000 in grant funding to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. The purpose of the Kiser Fund is to honor the late Dr. and Mrs. Glenn A. Kiser and their commitment to the quality health services at Rowan Medical Center by funding programs which enhance patient care.

Each spring, departments within the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center submit applications regarding projects that will address patient needs ranging from exercise equipment and upgrades to a new trauma operating room. The Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation’s Kiser Fund Committee then accepts applications for funding from all areas of Rowan Medical Center without preference to any one department or service line.

 This year, the Kiser grant will support 16 projects from 11 different patient care areas:

  • Radiation oncology

  • Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation

  • Radiology

  • Bariatric solutions

  • Food and nutrition services

  • Public safety

  • Emergency services

  • Critical care

  • Respiratory care

  • Medical and surgical services

  • Surgical services and anesthesia
