WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – (Jan. 26, 2022) – Novant Health announced today that its Hanes Mall mass vaccination site (196 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem) has been open for a year, marking a milestone that includes more than 108,700 vaccine doses administered in the greater Winston-Salem community.

“We are extremely proud of the vaccination efforts made in Winston-Salem, due in large part to the hard work and dedication of the team and volunteers at this site,” said Marty Lambeth, vice president of Novant Health Physician Network Services. “While we have a long way to go and we urge anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated to do so, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made in the fight against COVID-19.”

In addition to the overall number of doses distributed at the location, 1,926 volunteers who contributed 14,148 hours helped support operations at the site and 11,257 doses of the vaccine has been administered at community events in the greater Winston-Salem market. These numbers highlight a systemwide initiative from Novant Health to vaccinate the communities it serves. To date, the healthcare system has administered 604,512 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which represents 287,169 fully vaccinated individuals and 59,709 fully vaccinated and boosted individuals.
