SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health is expanding its network in Rowan County with the addition of Piedmont Plastic & Oral Surgery Center, which welcomed patients on Dec. 17 under its new affiliation with Novant Health.
Founded by surgeon Dr. Samuel J. Roy, the center offers plastic and oral surgery, including procedures to address functional issues related to the jaw or bite, post-cancer reconstruction for the face, breast and body, and noninvasive aesthetic treatments. The clinic is located at 310 Jake Alexander Blvd. West in Salisbury, convenient to Spencer, China Grove, Granite Quarry and Landis.
“Dr. Roy has been a trusted physician in the greater Salisbury area for more than 19 years and has built a reputation for delivering personalized and compassionate care,” said Dr. Sid Fletcher, senior vice president, Novant Health, and president of the Novant Health Charlotte Region. “Dr. Roy’s extensive training and experience in plastic, oral and maxillofacial surgery are a celebrated addition to the Novant Health network as we work to improve the health of the many communities we serve.”
Roy is board-certified in plastic surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery, and has completed residencies and fellowships in general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and plastic surgery. In addition, Roy serves as an adjunct assistant professor at both the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. The clinic has been honored in the past as a “Small Business of the Year” by the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce.
