Novant Health has named Alice Pope as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). In this role, Pope will provide strategic leadership, analysis, planning and recommendations to ensure the financial stability, health and advancement of Novant Health. She will begin her new role on May 13.
During her nearly 35-year career, Pope has led numerous financial functions for complex, nonprofit, integrated health systems, including serving as the senior financial executive for regional operations and medical centers. Her in-depth expertise and broad perspective position her as a dynamic and accountable leader of Novant Health’s corporate finance, construction and facilities, investment and supply chain teams.
Most recently, Pope served as CFO for Inova Health System in Virginia, where she was responsible for financial operations, including financial reporting, revenue cycle operations, managed care contracting, treasury and investment management, as well as capital planning and forecasting. Prior to her role at Inova, Alice served as CFO of HonorHealth in Arizona and Wellmont Health System in Tennessee.

Pope is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned her MBA from East Tennessee State University.
