BOLIVIA, N.C. – To help new mothers and their babies, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center will host a free community baby shower this spring.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the facility’s parking lot at 240 Hospital Drive in Bolivia. Novant Health will distribute clothing, diapers, toys, toiletries and more to mothers in need, along with the choice of a car seat, stroller or pack and play as available. Teams will also offer information on breastfeeding and car seat safety, and several local nonprofits will be in attendance.
“We love hosting this annual event to provide a meaningful way to support our local moms, children and families,” said Heather King, president of Brunswick Medical Center. “Each year, we meet grateful moms who appreciate this tangible support. Thank you to our community members who support this worthy cause with donations.”
Brunswick Medical Center has seen increased births in line with population growth in the county — the hospital welcomed 725 babies last year.
If you’d like to help with donations, the hospital will accept new and unopened items, including:
· Bottles

· Bibs
· Clothing (newborn to 2T)
· Wipes
