WILMINGTON, N.C. – A new 36,000-square-foot medical office building in Autumn Hall along Eastwood Road will enable an expansion in primary care services and surgical clinic space.
The new building, at 5505 Currituck Drive, Wilmington, will house Novant Health New Hanover Primary Care - Autumn Hall and Novant Health ExpressCare, which offers walk-in care daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The primary care services are relocating from a nearby first-floor suite at 510 Carolina Bay Drive and will see patients in the new space beginning Friday, May 23.
“This transition will allow us to expand our primary care services, adding a second ExpressCare provider during peak times, and offering space for another five primary care physicians,” said Ernie Bovio, president of Novant Health's Coastal Region. “As the region continues to grow, we are recruiting primary care and specialty providers to ensure we have a strong network to meet the community’s needs.”
Several surgical clinics have relocated and expanded within the facility's second floor: Novant Health Colon and Rectal Surgery, Novant Health Surgical Oncology and Novant Health Maxillofacial Surgery. The Novant Health Surgical Institute is also working to grow its care teams to ensure access to surgical services for the growing region.
