WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health welcomes Linda Latham and Kandi Deitemeyer to its board of trustees. Latham will serve as chair of the Triad Region board and Deitemeyer will serve as chair of the Southern Piedmont Region board.

Kandi Deitemeyer serves as the fourth president of Central Piedmont Community College, assuming the role in 2017. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in community college systems across North Carolina, Kentucky, and Florida, Deitemeyer is a dedicated and transformative leader in higher education. She serves on the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council, Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, Charlotte Center City Partners board of directors and the Charlotte Country Day School board. At the state level, Deitemeyer plays an active role in the North Carolina Association of Community College Presidents. She was named as the 2023 Charlotte BusinessWoman of the Year by Queens University and the recipient of the 2024 Leo M. Lambert Engaged Leader Award by North Carolina Campus Engagement, both of which recognize her leadership and community engagement. A native of Hollywood, Florida, Deitemeyer attended Polk Community College and the University of South Florida, where she graduated in 1988 and 1990, respectively, with an undergraduate degree in mass communications. She earned master's and doctoral degrees in counselor education and educational leadership at the University of South Florida.
Linda Latham is a committed healthcare leader who has more than 20 years of experience in patient care, including as a staff nurse, charge nurse and nursing supervisor. She also has more than 20 years of experience in higher education with a focus on nursing, advising and teaching students at North Carolina community colleges and working diligently to create and strengthen community and academic partnerships. Her prior experience includes serving as clinical faculty, nursing director, department chair and health sciences dean at various North Carolina community colleges. She currently serves as coordinator of the RN-BSN program at North Carolina A&T State University. Most recently, she served as interim director of nursing at North Carolina A&T State University from September 2022 to June 2023. Latham holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Barton College, a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) from East Carolina University, a Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) from Western Carolina University and a Doctor of Education (EdD) in higher education executive leadership from Wingate University.
