Dr. Renee Tegeler got her first sewing machine in third grade. She began cutting patterns and making her own clothes, an activity that she pursued into adulthood. But after she studied the beauty and benefit of medicinal herbs and other plants, Tegeler turned her shears to creating art from hand-dyed fabrics. Now more than 40 of her tableaux hang in the exam rooms of Winston-Salem Health Care , enriching the environment for patients and staff alike.
