Harried commuters, busy parents and a vast ocean of ear-budded listeners are turning to podcasts as a new way to plug into entertainment, news and advice. As podcasts grow in popularity, Novant Health is launching its own series of shows to help the public and team members keep up with health topics that meet them where they live.
“Podcasts are a great opportunity to engage with our communities and our various audiences in a new way,” said Kati Everett, Novant Health’s chief communications officer and senior vice president of public relations.
“People are busy. They like to catch up on information and learn things while they’re driving, or maybe working out, in an audio fashion,” she said. “We want to maximize the opportunity to tell stories, and give people the information they value, or that benefits them.”
Many of the podcasts will clock in at a swift 10 minutes or so, though length will vary by topic. The goal: Deliver what listeners want to know more about regarding health topics, including hearing patient stories of triumph and courage that will inspire us all.
“Novant Health will produce multiple podcasts to pinpoint information to various audiences,” Everett said “We want to tell bright stories of human connection, healing and the art of compassionate care in times of challenge.”
