Novant Health Pediatric Pulmonology opens in Matthews

MATTHEWS, N.C. – Novant Health Pediatric Pulmonology has opened a satellite clinic at 1401 Matthews Township Parkway, Suite 100. The clinic is open two Wednesdays each month from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is staffed by Drs. Marc Chester and Maxine Eikani. Both are accepting new patients from birth through age 18.

Chester and Eikani have specialized training in treating the following conditions:

·         Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

·         Chronic cough

·         Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

·         Recurring pneumonia

·         Asthma or wheezing

·         Cystic fibrosis

·         Apnea

·         Chronic lung disease in premature infants

·         Noisy breathing

·         Sleep related breathing disorders

·         Conditions that require special equipment (home oxygen, tracheostomy, mechanical ventilators)
