WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health Robinhood Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine will host its second annual back-to-school bash on Friday, Aug. 18. The bash runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be at the clinic’s location at 1350 Whitaker Ridge Drive in Winston-Salem.
The clinic, located next to the Harris Teeter grocery store off Robinhood Road in the Whitaker Square Shopping Center, welcomes all elementary-school-age kids in the community and their families for this year’s event, which will include a number of exciting activities geared to young audiences and their families.
“We hope to see a great turnout so we can build on last year’s event,” said Dr. Rachel McClung, one of the clinic’s pediatricians. “It should be a good community event and a way to encourage kids to start the school year on the right foot.”
Festivities for this year’s event include:
- Helpful information on healthy eating and school issues
- Book mobile, school bus safety lessons, fire truck, EMS
- Face painting/temporary tattoos
- Fun activities, games and prizes
- Ice cream
- Various interactive vendors
- Interactive characters
