Winston-Salem, N.C., Sept. 15, 2015 - Pediatric orthopedic surgeon Phillip Mason, MD, has joined Novant Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Mason completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Mason became interested in pediatric orthopedics during his residency since children present unique orthopedic challenges. "Children require specialty care and the understanding that they are not simply little adults," said Dr. Mason.
