WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Aug. 27, 2021 - Due to increased demand, Novant Health Medical Group will reopen its COVID-19 drive-through testing location at 190 Hanes Mall Circle, Winston-Salem, on Monday, Aug. 30. Located in the former Sears Auto Center, the testing site will operate Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. No appointments are required. Patients will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and the line may close prior to 3 p.m. to accommodate the closing time.
This location will administer tests for asymptomatic patients with potential exposure and symptomatic patients. Rapid tests are not available. We ask asymptomatic patients seeking travel, return-to-work or return-to-school clearance to use the NCDHHS Test Site Finder for a location that better suits their needs. Testing continues to be available at Novant Health-GoHealth Urgent Care centers for symptomatic patients.
Individuals with questions about whether they should seek a COVID-19 test are encouraged to utilize Novant Health’s online self-guided assessment tool at NovantHealth.org/coronavirus. This assessment is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and should not be used if patients are experiencing a life-threatening emergency.
Since July 1, Novant Health has seen a 69% increase in tests administered in the greater Winston-Salem market. To date, Novant Health has administered over 657,000 COVID-19 tests across the state.
