New provider joins Novant Health OB/GYN

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Megan Childres, nurse practitioner, to Novant Health OB/GYN. Childres will primarily practice at Novant Health OB/GYN - Bolivia, but will also practice at the Leland, Southport and Calabash clinics. She joined in May and is accepting new patients.

Novant Health names Dr. Jerome Williams Jr. senior vice president of consumer engagement

Williams is a practicing interventional cardiologist and a longtime Novant Health physician leader. In his new role, Williams will lead Novant Health’s overall strategy for social responsibility programs, community engagement partnerships, and community impact and wellness programs that help address health disparities in communities across our footprint.

Dari Caldwell named vice president of Novant Health Foundation

For the past nine years, Caldwell has served as president and chief operating officer of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation receives Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation equipment grant for Stop the Bleed program

Grant to benefit public safety at greater Charlotte area Novant Health medical centers CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $12,550.36 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The grant will be used to fund individual patrol officer and medical center bleeding control kits and combat gauze at locations in Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville and Salisbury. 

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation receives $15,000 grant from The Peninsula Community Foundation

Grant to benefit pediatric patients at new Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center children’s emergency department CORNELIUS, N.C. - Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $15,000, two-year grant from The Peninsula Community Foundation. The award will be used to partially fund a child life specialist at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center’s soon-to-be built pediatric-friendly emergency department.

Novant Health opens new children's clinic in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. — Novant Health Pediatrics Concord recently opened, giving families in the Concord area a new and convenient choice for pediatric health care. The clinic offers well-child visits; sick-child visits, which include same-day and next-day care; school, sports and camp physicals; all childhood immunizations and vaccinations; on-site labs and services; and prenatal appointments. The clinic is staffed by Dr. Tara Gaines, Dr. Stephen Lods and Dr. Kymberly Selden.

Novant Health Lakeside Primary Care opens in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to announce the opening of Novant Health Lakeside Primary Care off Poplar Tent Road in Concord. The new clinic is located at 9955 Poplar Tent Road and will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The clinic will be staffed by Dr. Trang Vuong and Linda Hoang, FNP.

Novant Health accepting applications for community leadership program

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Honoring the leadership of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his service to others, Novant Health is accepting applications for a unique community leadership program called the H: Drive Experience; the “H” represents “hidden.” The program aims to identify less-heard, high-potential leaders who are invested and engaged in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community but who may otherwise lack access to leadership development opportunities. This is the second year Novant Health has offered this program.
