WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Charles H. Hauser as a member of the Novant Health board of trustees. He brings more than 40 years of experience in medical management services.

Hauser is the CEO of Piedmont Stone Center, a physician-owned lithotripsy management company, and was the sole proprietor of Physician Discoveries LLC, a medical management service company he owned from 1978 to 2018. Physician Discoveries LLC served more than 3,000 physicians across the United States, aiding with revenue cycle management, group purchasing opportunities and mobile clinical technologies for urology practices. It also provided electronic health record systems for medical practices in North Carolina and Virginia.
Hauser has a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA with a concentration in finance and accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
In addition to his current seats on the Novant Health board of trustees and the Novant Health Triad Regional board of trustees, he also currently serves as a member of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. Hauser has also served on the boards of Summit School in Winston-Salem, Piedmont Craftsmen Inc., Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Horne Creek Living Historical Farm, DataMax, Hospice and Palliative Care Center Inc., Senior Services Inc., and Centenary United Methodist Church. He served six years on the N.C. Medical Care Commission, nine years on the State Health Coordinating Council and six years on the Winston-Salem Parks and Recreation Commission.
