Salisbury, N.C., Sept. 30 – In October, women who attend Rowan County’s Autumn Jubilee and the October Tour can get mammograms in a comfortable, convenient setting while they attend the festivities. The Novant Health Breast Center mobile unit will be on-site at the events, providing state-of-the-art digital mammography by a team of female technologists.
Mammograms are covered as a preventive screening under most insurance plans. Novant Health will file a claim with insurance on the patient’s behalf. Women can make appointments in advance or walk in at either of these events. Please bring an insurance card to an appointment on the mobile unit.
