SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of three area professionals to serve on the foundation board, which provides stewardship and oversight of its operations and activities. The new members are Dr. Brandon Aron, Dr. Aerik Williams and Traci Williams. The new appointments will be replacing Dr. Hetal Amin-Patel, Perry Hood, Andy Porter and Carole Simmons.
Aron is a general dentist in Salisbury. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and his doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky. Aron currently volunteers and serves on the dental committee at the Community Care Clinic of Rowan County and was the recipient of the Mike Fuller Volunteer of the Year award in 2013. Aron has served on boards of the Community Care Clinic and Food For Thought, and is a former member of the Rotary Club of Salisbury. He served on the planning committee and volunteered at the 2013, 2015 and 2017 N.C. Missions of Mercy Clinics in Salisbury. Aron is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Rowan County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Aron attends First Presbyterian Church where he served on the pastor nominating committee and attends the FUSE Sunday School Class. He lives in Salisbury with his wife, Teen, and their two children.
Dr. Williams is an allergist-immunologist with Allergy Partners of Rowan-Salisbury. He attended John Hopkins University in Baltimore for his undergraduate degree, followed by medical school at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Williams has published literature in The American Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Asthma and Allergy, and BioMed Research International. He is a member of Kiwanis International. Dr. Williams resides in Davidson, North Carolina, with his wife, Lindsey, and son, Maxwell.
Traci Williams is the CEO of Crescent Construction Services and the managing partner of Granite Quarry Properties. She received her undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the past president of Waterworks Visual Arts Center, past president of the Country Club of Salisbury, vice chairwoman of the board of trustees of Salisbury Academy and a member of First United Methodist Church. Williams lives in Salisbury with her husband, Brad, and two children, Courtney and Meredith.
Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation’s goal is to raise awareness and funding for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center to benefit team members and patients. The top fundraising initiative is the Wallace Cancer Center campaign. The new center will consolidate all cancer centers in one convenient location in Rowan County. Other priority fundraising initiatives are focused on these causes: behavioral health, women’s health, cancer, and heart and vascular.
