Presbyterian Hospital has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) by the AAGL and Surgical Review Corporation. This designation showcases Presbyterian’s commitment to new technologies, patient education and general patient awareness surrounding minimally invasive options for gynecologic surgery patients.
James Hardy, MD and Scott Schneider, MD, are co-medical directors of the center, and they are also designated as center of excellence surgeons, according to the standards set by COEMIG. Twelve additional ob-gyn physicians from Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Presbyterian Hospital Matthews have also met the criteria for the center of excellence.
