Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation receives $15,000 grant from The Peninsula Community Foundation

Grant to benefit pediatric patients at new Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center children’s emergency department CORNELIUS, N.C. - Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $15,000, two-year grant from The Peninsula Community Foundation. The award will be used to partially fund a child life specialist at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center’s soon-to-be built pediatric-friendly emergency department.

Novant Health opens new children's clinic in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. — Novant Health Pediatrics Concord recently opened, giving families in the Concord area a new and convenient choice for pediatric health care. The clinic offers well-child visits; sick-child visits, which include same-day and next-day care; school, sports and camp physicals; all childhood immunizations and vaccinations; on-site labs and services; and prenatal appointments. The clinic is staffed by Dr. Tara Gaines, Dr. Stephen Lods and Dr. Kymberly Selden.

Novant Health Lakeside Primary Care opens in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to announce the opening of Novant Health Lakeside Primary Care off Poplar Tent Road in Concord. The new clinic is located at 9955 Poplar Tent Road and will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The clinic will be staffed by Dr. Trang Vuong and Linda Hoang, FNP.

Novant Health accepting applications for community leadership program

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Honoring the leadership of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his service to others, Novant Health is accepting applications for a unique community leadership program called the H: Drive Experience; the “H” represents “hidden.” The program aims to identify less-heard, high-potential leaders who are invested and engaged in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community but who may otherwise lack access to leadership development opportunities. This is the second year Novant Health has offered this program.

Novant Health athletic trainers present life-saving devices to Rowan County schools

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Novant Health Sports Medicine team has donated six automated external defibrillator (AED) devices to high schools in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools System, improving access to life-saving resources and enhancing emergency action plans for various athletic venues. This portable device delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart, restoring a normal heart rhythm in victims of sudden cardiac arrest and helping to increase the chance of survival by more than 90 percent, according to the American Heart Association.

Novant Health launches digital health and engagement business division

The team will be led by Novant Health’s Dr. Hank Capps, senior vice president and chief digital health and engagement officer, and Stephanie Landry, senior director of digital health and engagement. 

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center recognizes volunteers

BOLIVIA, N.C.  – At a recent volunteer appreciation event, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center leaders recognized the hospital’s 213 volunteers for the 25,853 hours of time – and the vital contributions – they gave to the hospital in 2018. Traditional volunteers and volunteer chaplains were celebrated with a luncheon at the River Room at Lockwood Folly.

Magnet recognition renewed at Novant Health hospitals in greater Winston-Salem market
