BOLIVIA, N.C. – On Aug. 21, Novant Health opened its first pediatric clinic in Brunswick County. Novant Health Pediatrics Brunswick is located at 20 Medical Campus Drive NW, Suite 205, in Supply and will be staffed by Dr. Kaylan Edwards and Dr. Lori Tackman.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health is proud to announce that 14 of its acute care facilities have been recognized as “Leaders in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization. This is the third year in a row that Novant Health has received systemwide recognition.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust recently awarded a $220,000 grant to the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation to support the Family Connects Novant Health (FCNH) program. The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust has supported the program since its inception in 2016.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ― Novant Health awarded 20 remarkable men and women the Novant Health Upward Mobility RN Scholarship, which supports team members who aspire to be registered nurses (RNs) and are experiencing financial hardship. BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center has added its second 3D mammography machine which will be available for mammography appointments Monday through Saturday. In addition, the new machine allows radiologists and general surgeons the chance to perform stereotactic breast biopsies.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health today announced its physician and clinic growth for the second quarter of 2019 in the greater Charlotte market. Within the three-month time period, the health care system opened 11 clinics and added 28 physicians, bringing the total number of physicians in the greater Charlotte Market to 888.

Komen Charlotte (Komen Charlotte). Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center received a $119,972 grant and Novant Health Huntersville, Matthews and Mint Hill Medical Centers received a joint $119,949 award. These grants will be used to fund screening and diagnostic services for under/uninsured and minority populations in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health recently granted over $425,000 to local nonprofit organizations in the Winston-Salem area. In 2018, Novant Health announced a new alignment to their charitable giving, seeking to partner with nonprofit organizations that address identified health needs in the community and work to improve outcomes.
