BOLIVIA, N.C. – For the sixth year in a row, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center will partner with several local Brunswick County organizations to host a free community baby shower on Saturday, April 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. The shower will be held in the parking lot of Brunswick Medical Center.

BOLIVIA, N.C. ― Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation has launched its campaign, “A Path Forward,” to raise money for behavioral health initiatives to benefit Brunswick County. The campaign seeks to raise funds to better provide treatment, outreach programs and community education addressing behavioral health.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation recently granted $75,000 to Susan G. Komen Charlotte to study community-level gaps and opportunities in breast cancer care delivery. The two-year study, funded in part by Novant Health, has a long-term goal to reduce breast cancer mortality by addressing disparities and health inequities in underserved communities.

Yearlong challenges will help participants create and sustain habits that lead to a healthier, younger heart age WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health today announced a yearlong wellness campaign, challenging participants to take their health to heart in 2020. Three out of 4 U.S. adults are living with a predicted heart age that is older than their actual age, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This means they are at a higher risk for heart attacks and stroke. Yet, about 80% of heart disease is preventable with diet and lifestyle changes.

MINT HILL, N.C. – Novant Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has opened a new urgent care center in Mint Hill, North Carolina, at 11300 Cresthill Drive, right off Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., next to Novant Health Mint Hill Family Medicine and across from the Mint Hill Town Hall. The new urgent care center will provide the community with effortless access to convenient, high quality healthcare services, including on-site lab and X-ray capabilities.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center has contracted with DaVita, a leading provider of dialysis services in the United States, to provide dialysis treatments to hospitalized patients. Southeastern Nephrology providers and DaVita nurses will administer the dialysis treatments.
