Winston-Salem, N.C. - Following authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Novant Health today announced that it will begin administering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 6 months to less than 5 years of age on Monday, June 27 at select pediatric and family medicine clinics.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In partnership with the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council (CELC), Novant Health will allocate significant resources in support of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School (CMS) system when, in July, an executive goes on loan full time to the school system and another takes on an advisory role. Additionally, Frank E. Hospital to add new bed tower to meet healthcare needs of growing community    MATTHEWS, N.C. – Novant Health Matthews Medical Center today broke ground on its four-story, 150,000 square-foot tower and 50,000 square-foot renovation project. With this $169 million expansion, Matthews Medical Center will be better positioned to meet the healthcare needs of this rapidly growing community.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – To improve access to the latest in specialty care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, Novant Health on June 15 will open a new clinic and infusion center inside of Novant Health SouthPark Medical Plaza, located at 6324 Fairview Road in Charlotte. The new and complementary care locations include Novant Health Multiple Sclerosis Care - SouthPark and Novant Health Infusion - SouthPark, both a department of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Novant Health Rheumatology & Arthritis - SouthPark, strategically located in the same third-floor suite, will also reopen on June 15 and treat patients for a wide variety of rheumatic conditions. Designed with the patient in mind, the new suite will allow patients in Charlotte and the surrounding area to receive all of their care, lab work, imaging and infusion treatments, in one convenient location. 

Shared ownership of HealthTeam Advantage would expand the reach of high-quality care and coverage to more seniors WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Cone Health and Novant Health have signed a Letter of Intent allowing Novant Health to make an investment in HealthTeam Advantage. HealthTeam Advantage (HTA) is a Medicare Advantage plan owned by Cone Health. It provides coverage for more than 15,000 Medicare beneficiaries throughout seven North Carolina counties. Due diligence is next. The deal is also subject to the customary regulatory reviews.

The partnership will launch with a pilot program focused on bariatric patients, with plans to expand to other patient populations later this year. 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation has been awarded a $10,000 grant from National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The award will fund screening and diagnostic services for under/uninsured and minority individuals in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties.
