Novant Health Pulmonary Medicine – Thomasville, which opened in March, is conveniently located on the Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center campus. This brand-new outpatient clinic is designed to offer diagnostic and treatment services for patients, close to home.

Weisiger Endowed Chair to recognize and support the leading-edge work of next-level physicians at the Novant Health Cancer Institute. The support of this endowed chair at the institute enables us to spearhead a medical research team focused on providing customized cancer care. Dr. David Rizzieri, system physician executive for the Novant Health Cancer Institute, has been named the inaugural endowed chair.    

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Five Novant Health ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) have been named a “Best Ambulatory Surgery Center,” by Money, formerly known as Money Magazine. Money partnered with The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization that collects and publishes data on patient safety and quality. More than half of surgeries in the United States are now outpatient procedures typically performed in ASCs or hospital outpatient departments.

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – Today, Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center invited community members to tour its recently installed heart and vascular lab, scheduled to open for patients April 11. The lab will bring brand-new cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures to the hospital, improving access to lifesaving care and treatment for patients in Kernersville and west Guilford County.

Novant Health today announced audited financial results for the year ending Dec. 31, 2022, reporting $222.8 million of net losses on operating revenues of $7.6 billion.

On March 28 at 7 a.m., all Novant Health facilities will lift universal masking requirements for patients, visitors and team members. As encouraged during the COVID-19 pandemic and flu season, everyone should consider their personal risk when considering masking. Patients may request their care teams wear masks during treatment and clinic visits.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center will host a free community baby shower on Saturday, April 15, from 9 to 11 a.m. The shower will be held in the parking lot of Brunswick Medical Center, where clothing, diapers, toys, toiletries and more will be distributed. There will also be information on breastfeeding and car seat safety checks.
