Novant Health to lift some visitor restrictions

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health, which first implemented visitor restrictions in March to help control the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, today announced it will begin to lift some of those restrictions. The new visitation policies detailed below will go into effect Monday, June 8.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health announced the opening of a new respiratory assessment center at the Highland Avenue Primary Care Clinic. Beginning Friday, June 5, the respiratory assessment center, located at 650 N. Highland Ave., Suite 120 in Winston-Salem, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Novant Health to resume non-emergency/time sensitive surgeries and appointments across facilities

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health will resume some non-time sensitive and non-emergent surgeries and procedures beginning Monday, May 4. Additionally, clinics will reinstate appointments that were previously delayed by phasing in visits starting with pediatric well checks, chronic disease and acute issue visits. These appointments paused March 18 in response to increasing cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading in our communities and the need to protect our patients and team members.

Grant to support construction on Wallace Cancer Institute slated to open August 2020 SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health Rowan Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Philip L. Van Every Foundation. Funding will support the new Wallace Cancer Institute opening in Salisbury in August 2020. The institute will serve patients with research-based health solutions delivered through multiple medical disciplines, nurse navigation, state-of-the-art equipment and clinical trials in a single location.
