Novant Health names Angela Yochem chief transformation and digital officer

Yochem has served as the health system’s executive vice president and chief digital and technology officer since 2017. In this expanded role, Yochem will continue to lead digital products and services while assuming additional responsibilities related to transformational growth initiatives for the system.

Kim Henderson named Queens McColl School of Business Executive in Residence

Henderson currently serves as system chief of staff to the CEO and senior vice president of executive leadership development at Novant Health. She graduated with her MBA from the McColl School of Business in 2012.

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center receives grant from Brave Beginnings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center (NHPMC) Foundation was awarded a $43,563.13 grant from Brave Beginnings, a program of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, to purchase a Dräger Babyleo isolette for the Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital (Hemby) neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The isolette provides the newest technology available to increase infant survival rates and ensure prompt delivery of care to NICU infants.

Novant Health Family Connects program receives $125,000 grant from Hearst Foundations

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Hearst Foundations recently awarded a $125,000 grant to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation to support Family Connects, a postpartum nurse home visit program in Forsyth and Davidson counties. The program provides free home visit services to all Forsyth County and Davidson County mothers and newborns who deliver at Forsyth Medical Center or Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Since 2016, the program has provided support for thousands of mothers and babies and connected families to nurturing community resources.

Novant Health, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine announce agreement to partner across North Carolina

WINSTON-SALEM AND CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Novant Health, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine have reached an agreement to expand medical education, research and clinical services to Novant Health facilities and other locations across North Carolina. This partnership will expand the recently approved relationship between these organizations in New Hanover County to include Mecklenburg, Forsyth and other counties, with an additional focus to find innovative solutions to enhance care in rural areas.

Novant Health raises minimum wage

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Novant Health recently announced an adjustment to its current minimum wage from $12.50 per hour to $15 per hour. This change benefits more than 2,000 team members and will be effective January 2021.
