The changes are aimed at controlling COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses Winston-Salem, N.C. – To protect the health and safety of patients and team members, Novant Health is further limiting visitation in all acute care facilities in North Carolina. As of Tuesday, March 17, at 8 a.m., patients will be allowed a maximum of two visitors at any given time. Additionally, entrances and exits to hospitals will be limited to centralize the foot traffic of patients, visitors and team members coming in and out. All nonessential doors will be temporarily closed.

In addition to the 24/7 helpline announced March 13, Novant Health is offering a self-guided assessment tool at NovantHealth.org/coronavirus to help patients determine if they should seek care.

24/7 helpline 1-877-9NOVANT now open, screening sites and triage tents opening as well WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health today announced it is taking additional proactive measures to help control the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including standing up a 24/7 helpline, screening centers, and triage tents outside of emergency departments – all dedicated to meeting the needs of patients and community members with questions, concerns, or symptoms related to the coronavirus.

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Novant Health, along with six other regional health systems, is expanding visitor restrictions and asking those who are not immediate family members to avoid visiting patients unless absolutely necessary – even if visitors are healthy and regardless of their age.
