WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― On July 2, Novant Health was selected as the recommended partner for New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC). The recommendation comes after nine months of work by the Partnership Advisory Group (PAG), a 21-member group of hospital board of trustee members, physicians and members of the New Hanover community charged by the county and NHRMC to determine the future of NHRMC. A request for proposal was issued by the PAG in January.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Beginning Monday, July 6, hours of operation for Novant Health’s respiratory and screening assessment centers in North Carolina will be 8 a.m. to noon.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ―  Novant Health is expanding access to COVID-19 testing by opening a screening assessment center at Novant Health Today’s Woman OB/GYN, located at 2001 Today’s Woman Ave. NW, in Winston-Salem (access from Burton St, behind Today's Woman). The center will open Thursday, June 18, and operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

BOLIVIA, N.C. ― On June 4, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation received a $311,350 hazard mitigation grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to increase economic opportunity in North Carolina’s rural communities. The awarded grant, which will pay for a new water well, is one of 47 projects funded by the Golden LEAF Foundation.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Olapeju Popoola, certified physician assistant, to Novant Health Psychiatric Medicine. Popoola joined the clinic in April and will see patients with a referral from a primary care or specialty provider only.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health, which first implemented visitor restrictions in March to help control the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, today announced it will begin to lift some of those restrictions. The new visitation policies detailed below will go into effect Monday, June 8.

Beginning Friday, June 5, the respiratory assessment center, located at 650 N. Highland Ave., Suite 120 in Winston-Salem, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

First Ongoing Long-Range Drone Logistics Flights Approved by FAA Novant Health Becomes First Hospital System Granted Part 107 Waiver CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Today, Novant Health, Inc., a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system headquartered in North Carolina, announced the launch of America’s first emergency drone logistics operation by a hospital for its pandemic response.
