Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation receives $150,000 from The Cannon Foundation

THOMASVILLE, N.C. – Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation has received $150,000 from The Cannon Foundation to purchase a new stereotactic 3D breast biopsy system. The system will enable staff to offer a full schedule of biopsy procedures at the Thomasville Medical Center breast center. In addition to The Cannon Foundation grant, the Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation is committing $120,432 to purchase the $270,432 system.

Walgreens and Novant Health announce retail health care collaboration in North Carolina

DEERFIELD, ILL., & WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Today, Walgreens and Novant Health, a leading health care provider with 15 medical centers and more than 640 locations offering advanced medical treatments in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, announced a retail health clinical collaboration and services agreement, as well as a retail pharmacy-focused transaction. Walgreens will acquire nine of Novant Health’s retail pharmacies, while Novant Health will open new retail health care clinics at Walgreens stores in the Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Brunswick County, North Carolina, areas.

Novant Health selects prescriptive analytics leader Jvion as inaugural partner for new Institute of Innovation & Artificial Intelligence

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., - Jvion, a leader in AI-enabled prescriptive analytics for preventable harm, today announced a partnership with Novant Health as part of the newly launched Novant Health Institute of Innovation & Artificial Intelligence. Working together, the partners aim to reduce readmissions for congestive heart failure (CHF) patients, which can be as high as 35% in the first year and can double with each subsequent hospitalization. Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation receives $200,000 from The Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts

SALISBURY, N.C – Novant Health Rowan Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation has received $200,000 from The Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts for the Novant Health Wallace Cancer Center currently under construction on the corner of Mocksville and Mahaley avenues in Salisbury. Once completed, the Wallace Cancer Center will improve patient quality of life by providing patient-centered care, enhanced care coordination, improved accessibility and affordability, and leading-edge treatment. This award represents the second such gift from the Cannon Trusts. In 2018, the Trusts awarded NHRMC Foundation $200,000 for cancer center construction.
