SALISBURY, N.C – Novant Health Rowan Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation has received $200,000 from The Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts for the Novant Health Wallace Cancer Center currently under construction on the corner of Mocksville and Mahaley avenues in Salisbury. Once completed, the Wallace Cancer Center will improve patient quality of life by providing patient-centered care, enhanced care coordination, improved accessibility and affordability, and leading-edge treatment. This award represents the second such gift from the Cannon Trusts. In 2018, the Trusts awarded NHRMC Foundation $200,000 for cancer center construction.  

BOLIVIA, N.C. ― Novant Health has expanded labor and delivery services to include midwifery and natural birthing solutions. Certified midwife Kiya Fox will see patients at Novant Health OB/GYN - Bolivia and offer delivery services at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. She is accepting new patients.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ― Novant Health has pledged $6 million to the Charlotte Housing Opportunity Investment Fund to address Charlotte’s affordable housing crisis. The commitment helps the fund complete its goal of $50 million to match the City of Charlotte’s $50 million housing bond referendum. Foundation For The Carolinas started the fund.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Jennifer Harvey to Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Kernersville and North High Point. Harvey joined the clinic in August and is accepting new patients.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is now providing much-needed diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and vascular studies to the Brunswick County community.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ― Novant Health is proud to announce that 14 of its acute care facilities have been recognized as “Leaders in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization. This is the third year in a row that Novant Health has received systemwide recognition.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust recently awarded a $220,000 grant to the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation to support the Family Connects Novant Health (FCNH) program. The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust has supported the program since its inception in 2016.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ― Novant Health awarded 20 remarkable men and women the Novant Health Upward Mobility RN Scholarship, which supports team members who aspire to be registered nurses (RNs) and are experiencing financial hardship. Recipients of the scholarship are located in both Winston-Salem and Charlotte.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center has added its second 3D mammography machine which will be available for mammography appointments Monday through Saturday. In addition, the new machine allows radiologists and general surgeons the chance to perform stereotactic breast biopsies.
