Novant Health Pelvic Health Center opens in Salisbury

This clinic is the first of its kind in Rowan County SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health Pelvic Health Center has opened a new location at 1904 Jake Alexander Blvd. W., Suite 303, in Salisbury, North Carolina. The clinic is open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., by appointment. 

Novant Health Pediatric Neurology welcomes Dr. Christopher Beatty

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Novant Health Pediatric Neurology is pleased to welcome Dr. Christopher Beatty to the clinic. Beatty is a pediatric epileptologist who specializes in treating epilepsy in children. He will be in the main office which is located in the Metroview Building at 1900 Randolph Road, Suite 1010, Charlotte. He will see patients Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Novant Health raises minimum wage

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – This week, Novant Health announced an adjustment to its current minimum wage in North Carolina from $11 per hour to $12.50 per hour. This change benefits about 5,000 team members.

‘Stop the Bleed’ training program to help save lives in Union County

Someone can die from uncontrolled bleeding in as little as five minutes and a bystander’s ability to rapidly identify and control bleeding can mean the difference between life and death CHARLOTTE, N.C.,– Stop the Bleed is a community-focused training program in bleeding control principles. It teaches bystanders how to provide immediate aid until first responders are able to take over care of an injured person. The goal is to control bleeding and prevent death.

Novant Health Oncology Specialists - Kernersville adds new oncologist

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., – Dr. Sandrine Crane, a breast cancer specialist, recently joined Novant Health Oncology Specialists - Kernersville, a department of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. While Crane specializes in breast cancer, she will see patients with all tumor types at the clinic, which is located on the campus of Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center.

Novant Health offers ‘black and blue clinic’ to address high school sports injuries

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Just in time for the start of a new sports season, Novant Health has opened two "black and blue" clinics dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries. In Charlotte, the clinic is available Friday evenings from 10 to 11 p.m. inside of Novant Health Urgent Care - Waverly, 11840 Southmore Drive, suite 100. In Cornelius, the clinic will be available Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. at Novant Health Lakeside Family Physicians, 19485 Old Jetton Road, suite 100. 

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center receives $900,000 grant from the Kiser Fund

 SALISBURY, N.C. –The Kiser Fund has given over $900,000 in grant funding to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. The purpose of the Kiser Fund is to honor the late Dr. and Mrs. Glenn A. Kiser and their commitment to the quality health services at Rowan Medical Center by funding programs which enhance patient care.
