Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center receives trauma designation

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 10 – Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center announced today that the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services has officially designated the hospital as a level III trauma center. This achievement recognizes that Presbyterian Medical Center meets the state criteria to provide around-the-clock assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and life-saving intervention to patients experiencing traumatic injury.    

New Women’s Center opens at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center

Novant Health has been recognized by the American Hospital Association for its adoption, implementation and use of information technology (IT) in the delivery of health care . The prestigious award is conferred to hospitals based on the annual Most Wired survey, an industry-standard benchmark study. The survey is designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems, and is used as a tool for hospital and health system leadership to map their IT strategic plans.

First class of physician residents arrive at Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic

Charlotte, N.C., July 1, 2016 – The first class of resident physicians begins its three-year extensive training in family medicine at the Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Cornelius, North Carolina. The class of four female and two male providers will complete the training with rotations in community clinics as well as at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.

Novant Health to open first comprehensive Pelvic Health Center in region

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – When faced with extremely sensitive issues involving the pelvic floor, patients are often embarrassed to discuss such private things with their family and closest friends. Some find it so uncomfortable that they delay or even avoid getting treatment. To help with this, Novant Health will open the Novant Health Carolinas Pelvic Health Center on June 27 in Winston-Salem, the region’s first comprehensive, patient-centered approach to pelvic floor issues.
