Novant Health recognized as Healthcare’s Most Wired

Novant Health has been recognized by the American Hospital Association for its adoption, implementation and use of information technology (IT) in the delivery of health care . The prestigious award is conferred to hospitals based on the annual Most Wired survey, an industry-standard benchmark study. The survey is designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems, and is used as a tool for hospital and health system leadership to map their IT strategic plans.

First class of physician residents arrive at Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic

Charlotte, N.C., July 1, 2016 – The first class of resident physicians begins its three-year extensive training in family medicine at the Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic in Cornelius, North Carolina. The class of four female and two male providers will complete the training with rotations in community clinics as well as at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.

Novant Health to open first comprehensive Pelvic Health Center in region

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – When faced with extremely sensitive issues involving the pelvic floor, patients are often embarrassed to discuss such private things with their family and closest friends. Some find it so uncomfortable that they delay or even avoid getting treatment. To help with this, Novant Health will open the Novant Health Carolinas Pelvic Health Center on June 27 in Winston-Salem, the region’s first comprehensive, patient-centered approach to pelvic floor issues.

Cancer genetic counseling services now available in Matthews

Dr. Victoria Lore joins Novant Health Rankin OB/GYN

Charlotte, N.C., June 10, 2016 – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Victoria Lore to Novant Health Rankin OB/GYN. Lore joined the clinic in June and is delighted to begin accepting new patients. She will be seeing patients at the Randolph Road clinic, located at 1918 Randolph Road, Suite 670, in Charlotte. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Novant Health Randolph Pediatrics launches Reach Out & Read program

Charlotte, N.C., June 8, 2016 – Novant Health Randolph Pediatrics has partnered with Smart Start of Mecklenburg County to offer a Reach Out & Read program at their clinic. The program provides age-appropriate books at each well visit to all children age 6 months through 5 years. Reach Out & Read puts a special emphasis on children growing up in low-income families, where children are most at risk for reading failure.
