Bolivia, N.C., May 10, 2016 – At a recent volunteer appreciation event, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center volunteers presented two $1,250 scholarships to seniors at West Brunswick High School. The scholarships are presented to students who have served as hospital volunteers and want to pursue a degree in a health-related field.

The name change affects Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center, Novant Health Prince William Medical Center, Novant Health Caton Merchant House, Novant Health Cancer Center and UVA Culpeper Hospital.

Southport, N.C., May 9, 2016 – On May 13, Novant Health OB/GYN will open a new location in Southport, North Carolina. The office is located at 1456 Howe Street, Suite 201. 

Charlotte, N.C., May 6 2016 – On Saturday, May 21, Novant Health will offer free, comprehensive sports pre-participation exams to middle and high school student-athletes enrolled in Charlotte and Lake Norman area schools. The screenings are being provided as part of Novant Health’s eighth annual Competitive Edge Sports Screenings Days.

Matthews, N.C., May 6, 2016 – Novant Health Matthews Medical Center’s is opening a new Women’s Center in August. The two-story, 12,700-square-foot addition will be a one-stop shop for the community’s maternity and gynecologic needs. 

Carolina Shores, N.C. – On May 10, Novant Health Urology Partners will open a third location in the Novant Health South Brunswick Medical Plaza in Carolina Shores. Located at 75 Emerson Bay Road, Suite 102, the clinic offers comprehensive urology care, including management of urologic conditions. 

Haymarket, VA, April 28, 2016 – Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center is now offering alcohol recovery support through Transitional Recovery Services. Alcohol recovery support is a medical detoxification treatment and can be personalized for adults who are diagnosed with alcohol use disorder.

Bolivia, N.C., April 28, 2016 – The Novant Health Foundation Brunswick Medical Center’s fifth annual Flip Flop Ball will be held Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at Brick Landing Plantation. 

Bolivia, N.C., April 27, 2016 – At a recent volunteer appreciation event, Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center leaders recognized the hospital’s 231 volunteers for the 31,031 hours of time – and the vital contributions – they contributed to the hospital in 2015. Traditional volunteers and volunteer chaplains were celebrated with a luncheon at 101 Stone Chimney Place.
