CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Novant Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Adam Back to Novant Health Total Spine Specialists in Charlotte. Back joined Novant Health this month and will be seeing patients at the practice’s Randolph Road location and also at its Huntersville location. In his new position, Back will provide both general neurological care and complex spine care. He and his colleagues are currently accepting new patients. 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolinas HealthCare System and Novant Health today announce a partnership to merge critical patient information, which will give providers access to the important patient records they need for improving quality and coordination of care for patients who see providers at both health systems in a secure environment.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Susan G. Komen Charlotte has awarded $169,256 in grant funding to Novant Health cancer prevention, education and early detection to provide mammography screenings and diagnostic services for underinsured and uninsured individuals in Mecklenburg County and surrounding communities. Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center received a $101,018 grant, and Novant Health Matthews and Huntersville medical centers received a $68,238 award.

BOLIVIA, N.C. – In July, Novant Health will expand endocrinology services to Brunswick County with the opening of Novant Health Endocrinology. The office will be temporarily located at Novant Health Family & Internal Medicine South Brunswick at 75 Emerson Bay Road SW, Suite 102, in Carolina Shores. It will move to its new location later this year. 

MINT HILL, N.C. – Novant Health is continuing to grow in Mint Hill with the recent opening of Novant Health Orthopedic & Sports Medicine. The clinic is located inside the Mint Hill Medical Office Building, situated near the interchange of Albemarle Road and Interstate 485, at 8110 Healthcare Loop. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is staffed by Dr. Larry Martin Jr.

SALISBURY, N.C. – Rachel and Charles Bernheim were presented with the 2017 Wilson L. Smith Philanthropic Award by Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation. The couple graciously accepted the award during the June 8 donor appreciation and recognition dinner held at Catawba College Peeler Crystal Lounge. This award is presented annually to individuals in recognition of their exceptional philanthropy.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Novant Health has partnered with Davidson County Schools to provide advanced sports medicine care to student-athletes at the system’s high schools. The two-year contract will begin in the 2017-2018 academic year.

SALISBURY, N.C. – Novant Health Rowan Medical Center continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing the most advanced treatment options to breast cancer patients by adopting the use of the new SAVI SCOUT Surgical Guidance System. This new technology is making lumpectomies (partial removal of the breast) and preoperative localizations more comfortable for patients and more accurate for surgeons.
